Get It or Forget It?: Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette

Hello and welcome back, Beauties!! I hope you’re doing well. Today, I’m (finally!) going to share with you my thoughts on the hella hyped up new palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. If you’re interested in seeing how I feel about it, just keep on reading.

I’ve been using the ABH Soft Glam Palette, $42, for about a month now, and definitely have strong feelings about it. I won’t make you wait forever. I. LOVE. IT. I’ll elaborate in the post, of course, but I had to get that out of the way immediately.

Matter of fact, let’s just skip all this extra chatter and get right into the review!

You guys, this palette is AMAZING! I haven’t been this excited to use a palette in a very long time. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette is $42 like all of ABH’s other palettes, and comes with 12 shadows. A majority of them are repromoted shades, like Cyprus Umber and Mulberry (they’re both in the Modern Ren), but that doesn’t necessarily bother me. I could’ve done without Noir, the black eyeshadow. Not because it’s a bad shadow, but because I just don’t need yet another black eyeshadow in a palette that I’m not gonna use, you know?

Speaking of the shadows, we all know that ABH shadows have fallout. That’s not news. Now, the Soft Glam doesn’t have Subculture level fallout, just so we’re clear, but the fallout is there. If you tap your brush off well, it shouldn’t be a big issue when using the mattes. I found that if I tapped the shimmers and then tapped them onto my lid, I didn’t get nearly as much fallout as I did when I just swiped the shimmers across my lid.

Here’s a look that I created with the Soft Glam. I love that the palette is pigmented without being TOO PIGMENTED, you know? The looks you get with this palette are exactly what the name implies. They’re soft and glam. Period.

Overall, I definitely think that if the Soft Glam appeals to you, you should totally GET IT. It’s probably my favorite ABH palette, even exceeding my love for the Modern Ren. Yeah, it’s that serious. I feel like the Soft Glam palette is the Modern Ren’s slightly bougie sister, if that makes sense. Soft Glam lets you create every day looks with every shade. The Modern Ren can give you some every day looks too, but not as many because of those burgandy and red shades. At least, that’s my experience based on the kind of looks that I create on the regular.

Guys, get this palette. Get it. Get it. GET IT!! I promise you won’t regret the purchase. Sure, there’s a little fallout, but the shadows blend like a dream and last on the eyes all day without fading away to nothing. It’s totally worth the $42, y’all.

Let me know in the comments what your thoughts on the Soft Glam palette are.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
