In the Lab March 5-9: Products I’m Testing This Week

Hello and welcome back, Beauties!! This week, I’ll be testing out a couple of new things, including some brushes and tools. If you want to know what products I’ll be working with this week, just keep on reading.

Okay so, my low buy is what it is. I haven’t made any huge purchases as in the amount of items or price of said items, so I feel like I’m still going strong. I haven’t gotten any eyeshadow palettes since the Milani ones last month, and the few items I have picked up were all things I have been dying to try. There are a few things that I’m still lusting after, but I’m proud I haven’t pulled the trigger on them. Progress and all that jazz.

Anyway, let’s cut all this preamble and get right into the products I’m using this week.

I started using the bareMinerals barePro 16-hr Full Coverage Concealer, $24, last week, but still want to use it a little bit more before I give you a full blown review. I know I mentioned it in my bareMinerals full brand review post, but I had only used it once and definitely need more time with it before I can recommend it or not. I have mine in the shades Tan/Dark-Neutral 12 and Dark-Neutral 13. Shade 12 is definitely a highlight shade for me, while Shade 13 is slightly darker than I go for, but is perfect for days I don’t wear any foundation.

Another concealer that I’m trying out right now is the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal & Contour, $7. I have the shade C13, but I need to get C12. My Ulta didn’t have any of C12 in store, but I still wanted to pick this up and see how I feel about it. I used it a few times last week, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I’ll keep you posted. I’m working on a best and worst concealers post, so I am trying out a zillion concealers it feels like lol.

Also in the barePro line, I’ll be working with the barePro Performance Wear Powder Foundation, $30, this week. I started testing it out last week, and I like the results I’ve gotten so far. I want to focus on using it to set foundation this week before I review it for you guys.

I’m also trying out a few new brushes this week. I’ve had these sitting in my collection unused, so I figured I’d give them a go. I’ll be using the Real Techniques Brush Crush 305 Shadow Brush, $9.99; It! Cosmetics Love Beauty Fully All Over Powder Brush #211, $40; the Wet n’Wild Tapered Highlighting Brush ($5.99), Precision Setting Brush ($7.99) and the Fluffy Blending Brush ($5.99) from the Pro Collection; and the highly talked about Flower Beauty Ultimate 3 in 1 Blending Sponge, $10.

I think that’s everything I plan to focus on trying out this week. Let me know in the comments below what product you’ve tried out of these and what your thoughts were on their performance.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
