Feb. 26-Mar. 2 Week in Review

Week-in-Review-13

Hello and Happy Friday, Beauties!! I hope you all had a fantastic week. It’s time once again for me to go over the looks I did this week and what products I loved using. If you’re ready to see all that, just keep on reading.

This week was an interesting one for me and my makeup. I tried out some things that were just kinda meh, and was surprised by a couple of things in the best way. For the most part, I kept my looks simple and minimal this week. I just couldn’t be bothered with a full on beat.

Before I forget, make sure you head over to my Twitter @theregulargirl1 and vote in the poll which eyeshadow palette you want to see me use for the entire month. ICYMI, here’s the post I did yesterday with the options and all the other details. Polling closes on Sunday, and I’ll share which palette you all chose on Monday.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get into it!

The bareMinerals barePro Performance Wear Powder Foundation, $30, really rocked my world this week. It blends so nicely on the skin and legit lasts all day without making the skin look dry or flaky throughout the day. It gives a good medium coverage right off the bat, and you could build it up to full coverage potentially. As you can see from the image on the right, it comes in a crapton of shades too, which is something I’ve always appreciated about bareMinerals. They always have a wide variety of shades and undertones available in their products.

You guys know I have a love affair with the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors, $38, in the pressed formula. Well, this week (and the past few weeks if I’m being honest), their SSPP in Topaz has been giving me all the feels. Whether I’m doing a full face or just concealer and brows, this highlight works well with the look. You can use a more fluffy brush like the Morphe M510 for a more diffused and subtle glow or a dense brush like the Real Techniques Setting Brush for a more blinding glow.

Now that we’ve talked about the star products of the week, let’s get into the looks.

As I said in the beginning of this post, I pretty much kept the makeup minimal this week. Today’s look (top right) is literally just concealer, brows, gloss and a light dusting of powder. I’ve really been into doing the ‘no makeup makeup’ kind of thing. When I did wear eyeshadow this week, I used some of my Colourpop shadows from various palettes that I’ve depotted and put into a magnetic palette. On Thursday (bottom right corner), I threw some bronzer in my crease and my Becca Topaz highlighter on the lid and called it a day.

My favorite looks from this week were Monday’s and today’s. Monday, I basically just did a base with some liquid liner and a red lip, which I’m always down for.

That’s this week’s Week in Review. Let me know in the comments below what your standout products were this week, and don’t forget to go to my Twitter page and vote for the palette you’d like to see me use this month.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
