Hello and welcome back, Beauties!! While going over my notes for today’s review post, I realized that I’ve tried some products that just didn’t work for me. I don’t think I’ve done an entire post of fails before, but that’s what we’re doing today. If you’re interested in reading about what products didn’t work for me, then keep on reading.
I’m not going to give a disclaimer. I feel like in 2018 we should be understanding enough to get that everything doesn’t work for everyone and I’m not bashing brands or anything like that, blah blah blah. Just wanted us to be clear on that before we proceed.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get into it!

The Burt’s Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup, $16.99, is the first fail I wanna talk about. Other than the abysmal shade range this comes in (there are only 12 shades, girl -_-), the product itself just didn’t do it for me. I didn’t like the way it looked on my skin and definitely wouldn’t call it full coverage like it claims to be. It didn’t last all day on my normal to dry skin, so I definitely don’t see it working for my oily skin girls and guys.

Listen. The revamped Wet n’Wild Comfort Zone palette, $4.99, is something that’s been so hyped up since it was released, and I just don’t get it. For me, the shimmer shades weren’t all that impressive in comparison to the original Comfort Zone palette. While I do appreciate the addition of the transition shades, and found that they worked fine, I still prefer the original.

I consider the NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker, $9.99, a fail for me because it was almost dried out after I applied the liner to one eye. When I went to do the liner on my other eye, the pen started to skip and lose pigment. I put the cap back on, shook it up, and tried again only to get the same result. I was super irritated, but decided to give it one more try the following day. Well, the next day I got the same result, so I just threw the whole thing in the trash. It’s possible that I just got an old one, but I’m not convinced.

When CoverGirl came out with these liquid lipsticks, the Melting Pout Mattes, $7.99, I was down to try them because I’m always up for a good drugstore lipstick. Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of them for me. I found both shades I tried, Never Say Never (shown above) and Super Model (a navy blue), to be streaky af upon initial application. Then, when I went and attempted to build the color up and fix the streaks, both shades just got weird on the lips. I just can’t recommend these to y’all, at least not the darker shades.
These are the recently tested products that just didn’t do it for me. Let me know in the comments below what products have been a fail for you lately.
Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
