In the Lab: Products I’m Testing This Week

Hello and welcome back, Beauties!! I know I’m on a low buy right now, but I still have a few products from the last haul I did that I haven’t tried out yet, as well as some products that have been collecting dust in my collection that I need to test. So, if you’re interested in seeing what I’ll be trying out this week, just keep on reading.

You guys, I thought that this low buy situation I’m in would slow down my testing a little until I took a long, hard look at my collection. I have so many products that I haven’t even cracked open yet for one reason or another. That made me realize quite a few things, but we won’t get into all of that right now. Let’s just talk about what I plan to try out this week. Oh, before I forget. I’ll have my monthly makeup drawer post up within the next few days, so be on the lookout for that post.

Now that we’ve gotten all of that out of the way, let’s get into the products I plan to test out this week.

I know I told you guys last week that I would be testing out all of the new Wet n’Wild Color Icon 10-pan Eyeshadow Palettes, $4.99, but the one I did try threw me off so I just ignored the rest. So, this week I’m planning to focus on just the Not A Basic Peach palette for a couple of reason. Firstly, it’s easier for me to focus on just one palette at a time. Secondly, since this one isn’t a reformulation of an existing WnW palette, so I won’t have anything to compare it to. I do plan on doing a comparison post on the two Comfort Zone palettes, so be on the lookout for that coming in the next few days, because I definitely have some thoughts.

I’ve never worn the foundation that coincides with this concealer, but I’m always down for a full coverage concealer, so I’m going to give the Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Full Coverage Concealer, $29.00, a try. I’ve heard mixed reviews on this product, so I’m hoping it doesn’t disappoint me like it has some people. One thing I’ve heard is that it can be a little drying, which makes me a little nervous since we all know that my under eyes are as dry as unbuttered toast.

Last week, I was supposed to test the Wet n’Wild Ultimate Brow Retractable Brow Pencil, $3.99, but I honestly forgot about it. So, since its still in its packaging waiting to grace my brows with its presence, I’m going to give it a go this week.

I recently placed an order with Indie brand Pinky Rose Cosmetics for some single shadows. They were having a 50% off sale, so I couldn’t resist. I’ve been on the hunt for a dark green eyeshadow for a hot minute, so I was super excited to see that Pinky Rose had one. Their shadows are $3.99, and with the 50% off, it was destiny. Hopefully my shipment comes today or tomorrow so I can review them for you as early as possible.

One of the products I’ve had in my collection for a while that I haven’t started testing yet is the L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Makeup, $10.99. I know that this is far from a new foundation, but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever tried it before. There are about a zillion shades available in various undertones, which is rare for high end brands, much less drugstore foundations. It’s said to have a light-to-medium coverage foundation, which is perfect for every day wear. I’ve been trying so many full coverage foundations lately that this will be a nice change of pace.

I think that about does it for this week’s testing list. Let me know in the comments below which of these products you’re looking forward to hearing about next week in the Get It or Forget It series, which is where all of my direct reviews reside.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
