Week in Review: January 29-February 2nd

Week-in-Review-13

Hello and Happy Friday, Beauties!! I missed you guys yesterday! As we do each and every Friday, it’s time to take a look at my week in makeup and talk about the products I loved, as well as thee looks I rocked. So, if you wanna know what products I loved and how I used them this week, just keep on reading.

I’m really enjoying this format of my weekly review where I put everything into one post rather than separate ones for the looks and the products. Let me know in the comments below if you guys are digging this format as well.

Enough rambling, let’s get into it!

Just like we did last week, we’re gonna start with the products. I had all these different palettes from Wet n’Wild that I intended on testing this week, but when I tried one of them, I was so underwhelmed by it that I lost interest in the others. However, I’m going to try out the other ones next week so I can review them for you. Now, a set of products that I enjoyed way more than I anticipated were the….

Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne eyeshadow palettes. You guys, both of these palettes are awesome. Urban Decay eyeshadows can be hit or miss for me, so I wasn’t sure which end of that spectrum these were going to land on. I mean, just look at these swatches, y’all.

I tried out the dark blue shadow the other night and OMG!! I’ll have a look and my full review of these palettes up for you guys next week. Spoiler Alert: They’re pretty dope!

The other product that rocked my world this week is the bareMinerals barePro Foundation.

This foundation is amazing. It sits so well on the skin and looks freshly applied literally all day long. The shade range is great, which you guys already know makes my heart smile. I won’t go into this too much since I’ll have a full review on this up next week, but just know that I’m entirely here for this foundation.

The final product that stood out for me this week is the Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in La Douce.

I’m not typically into cream or liquid eyeshadows. It’s just not my jam. However, these Stila Shimmer & Glows are dope af. I wasn’t into the glitter versions because I’m just not a glitter shadow kind of girl in general. So, when I saw they were coming out with a shimmery version, I figured I’d give them a go. Guys, these are fantastic. They are super easy to apply and last all day on the eyes without flaking or transferring.

Okay, now that we’ve talked about what products I loved this week, let’s see how I used them by checking out my makeup looks from this week.

img_8581I ran the gambit of looks (for me anyway) this week. Monday was a pretty basic, ‘natural’ look with just foundation, concealer, mascara and a nude lip. Tuesday, I used the Stilla Shimmer & Glow in La Douce, so that was a little more poppy of a look. Wednesday, I used Corona from the UDxKristen Leanne Kaleidoscope palette on the lid and loved it. Yesterday I didn’t take a picture of my look because your girl wasn’t feeling life if I’m being honest, but it basically was the same as Monday’s look. Today I’m wearing my Urban Decay Troublemaker palette on the eyes. This low buy has me trying to really get into what I have in my collection, so be prepared to see more looks with palettes we’ve already discussed on here. Sorry not sorry.

Here’s my favorite look from the week:

Don’t judge my huge forehead, y’all. Anyway, everything about my makeup on Tuesday was popping for me. I got so many compliments on this look and I can’t wait to do more variations of it for you guys.

So that’s my Week in Review for this week. Let me know in the comments below what your standout products were this week.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
