Jan. 22-26 Week in Review: Standout Products and Looks

Hello and welcome back, Beauties!! I hope you all had a great week. As we do here each and every Friday, I’m going to go over my favorite products from this week and the looks I created with them.

Traditionally, I’ve made my weekly looks and standout products of the week posts separately, but I figured we could switch it up and throw it all together this week. Let me know down below which format y’all prefer.

Anywho, let’s get into it. We’re gonna start with the products I was into this week and then go into the looks.

I tested the Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation out this week and really enjoyed it. The coverage is fantastic and lasts all day without getting cake or crusty on my face as long as I moisturize and use a hydrating primer. I did notice a little bit of dryness between my brows when I mixed it with another matte foundation. I have to mix it because the shade I picked up, Cacao, is too dark for me, so I mix it with foundations that I have in my collection that are too light. The foundation comes in 19 shades, which isn’t ideal, but the variation between the shades is great.

You guys, this stuff is AMAZING!! I hadn’t tried anything from Ahava prior o this, but since my under eye is desert dry with dark circles and fine lines (aka a hot ass mess), I’m constantly looking for new products to use to get my situation together. The Ahava Dead Sea Osmoter Eye Concentrate reduces puffiness and dark circles and feels super cooling when you apply it. Speaking of application, the applicator on this is one of those little rollerball things, but with three rounded parts instead of one and it’s awesome. I’m still testing it, so I can’t speak to longterm results, but I can definitely say that I’ve noticed my under eye area feels and looks great when I use it.

The Milani Amore Shine Liquid Lipsticks definitely impressed me. I talked about them yesterday in my This or That post, so I won’t go on and on about them. Just know that I have, like, five of these in my collection right now and might get more next time I’m at Walgreens. They last forever on the lips without getting all weird. I love them.

These are the products I loved using this week, so now let’s get into the looks.

I was doing pretty basic makeup this week, as you can see….and pretty much as usual lol. I used one of my Stila Shimmer and Glow liquid eyeshadows on Tuesday (the first picture) and really liked how the look came out. I’m still testing them though, now that I’ve found a way to use them that’s comfortable for me, so I will keep trying them out and have a review for you guys soon. My brows and I went through some changes this week, but by Thursday, we were on the same page.

As a whole, I’d say that this was a pretty good week makeup wise. Meet me right back here on Monday to see what products I’ll be testing out for the last week of the month.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
