In the Lab: Products I’m Testing This Week

Hey there, Beauties! I’m back with some new products I’m testing out to review for you guys.

Earlier, I posted my recent haul for you guys that you can check out HERE if you haven’t seen it yet. Since I have some new goodies, I have selected a few of them to test out this week.

Now that we’ve gotten the pleasantries out of the way, let’s get into it!

When Urban Decay first showed images for this palette, I knew that I wanted to check it out, but something told me to wait for a while. I’m glad I did, because I was able to get it on sale for $24 at Ulta. The Troublemaker palette is the perfect size for travel, as it only has ten shades. I posted some swatches on my Instagram (@theregulargirlreviews) if you want to check them out.

Maybelline has always made some of my favorite mascaras, so I’m looking forward to testing out their new Total Temptation Mascara, $9.49 at Ulta. It claims to give bold volume, so we’ll see if it lives up to the claims.

You guys know by now that I am in a serious relationship with my Benefit brow pencils. Like, our love is strong and real. However, I’m not always looking to spend so much just to fill in my brows. So, when I heard that L.A. Girl recently put out their Slim Shady Brow Pencil, $5.99, I figured I’d give it a go. I got the shade Espresso, but I think it may be a little too warm. If it is, I’ll exchange it for the shade Darkest Brown. Either way, I’m gonna try it out. If it’s as good as my Precisely, My Brow, I will definitely pick up more.

I used the Combo/Oily version of this foundation many years ago, but now that my skin is more normal to dry, I wanted to try this version. I got the shade Cappuccino in the Revlon Colorstay Makeup, $12.99 at Ulta. The shade range is pretty crappy, as the shade I got is the darkest shade available, but the product itself is doing okay thus far.

Another drugstore item I picked up recently is the Covergirl Queen Collection Lasting Matte Shine Control Powder in Medium Deep, $7.99 at CVS. Since it’s not a powder foundation, it doesn’t add any coverage, which doesn’t bother me since I’m always testing foundations. It definitely sets foundation nicely without making things cakey and overly powdery.

It wouldn’t be a testing out products post without at least one lipcolor, right? One of the new lipsticks I’m giving a go this week is the Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Color in Wild Berry (matte), $7.00 at Walmart. I haven’t worn these for a full day yet, so I can’t speak much on wear time, but I can confirm that they are super comfortable on the lips.

Alrighty then, y’all. These are some of the products I’m testing out for you guys this week. LEt me know in the comments below which ones you want to see reviews on first.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
