Hello and welcome back, Beauties!! I finally got my last Boxycharm of the year, so I wanted to share the contents with you.
I gotta say that the final Boxycharm box of the year wasn’t what I expected it to be. There were so many standout boxes this year that I thought they would end the year with a bang. I’m not saying this isn’t a great collection of products that I may not have tried otherwise, because that’s not the case at all. I’m just saying that I expected a little more.
Anywho, let’s get into what we got this month!
First up is the REALHER Blush Kit, retailed at $32. You get three nicely sized shimmery blushes that are supposed to give you an ‘instant natural glow’ according to the card that came inside the box. I’m not a huge fan of shimmery blush, but I’ll give it a try and report back to you guys my thoughts on it.
The second item is the Beaute Basics Bronze Essentials, valued at $39.95. You’re supposed to be able to use the bronzer shades alone or mix them together to get your ultimate glowy bronzer shade. The matte bronzer shades in this palette likely won’t work on my deep skin, so I don’t forsee myself getting a lot, if any, use out of this product. Even if it did work for my skintone, I don’t like shimmery bronzers, so either way, this item doesn’t really appeal to my style of makeup.
Up next we have the Makeup Geek Showstopper Creme Stain, valued at $12. There isn’t a shade name on the bottle, and the Boxycharm website doesn’t tell you the shade name either, which is a little annoying. Anyway, the Showstopper Creme Stain is a liquid lipstick. When I swatched it, it felt super smooth and didn’t get all dry and crusty on my hand once the swatch set. I’ve never tried Makeup Geek’s lip products, so I’m excited to give this a go.
The Tarte Tarteist Mascara, valued at $23, is one that I’ve used before. I got a travel size in my Tarte Holiday palette and think it’s nice enough, so I’m glad to have a full sized one.
The last item in this month’s box is the Vintage Cosmetics Illuminating Face Highlighter in Rose Gold, valued at $32. Now, this is a product that I’m looking forward to trying. I’m a fan of rose gold highlighters, so I’m excited to have a new one to try. I haven’t swatched this yet or anything, so I can’t speak on the formula just yet, but will definitely give it a review once I test it out.
This box’s total value is $138.95, which is awesome. I’m most looking forward to trying the highlighter and the lipstick. The rest of the items, excluding the mascara, likely won’t get used by me, which sucks but that’s how it goes with subscription boxes sometimes.
Did you get your Boxycharm box yet? If so, did you love it? Let me know in the comments below.
Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
