Welcome back, Beauties!! This Best of 2017 post is dedicated to the miscellaneous eye products that are boring but we can’t live without.
I’m including concealer in this eye products post because I forgot to include it in my Best Face Products post that you can check out HERE if you missed it. All of the products in this post are ones that I was totally into in 2017. If I’ve done any dedicated reviews on the items listed, I’ll link them for you guys.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get into it!
Since I forgot about them before, I figured we’d talk about concealer first. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is my OG holy grail drugstore concealer. It gives me the perfect amount of coverage without drying out my under eye or creasing too badly. As for high end concealer, my all-time favorite is the Urban Decay Naked Skin. I have two of these in my backup bag (aka an old makeup bag that I put all of my backups in) and for good reason. It’s just fantastic. It truly feels like you don’t have anything on under your eyes and it lasts really well on me without making my already dry under eye feel like sandpaper. The bareMinerals Correcting Concealer is one I discovered this year and fell in love with the first time I used it. It not only covers my under eye circles, it color corrects them and adds some hydration to my under eye.
For brows, it goes without saying that my favorite products this year were the Benefit Goof Proof and Gimme Brow pencils. I’ve tried out tons of brow products, but these are the ones I continuously go back to and frequently repurchase when I run out. Shade 6 is the perfect color for my dark brown, almost black brows. Unlike so many other brow pencils I’ve tried, these aren’t too waxy or too dry, and aren’t too warm for my brows. Best of all, they don’t make my already sparse brow hairs come out when I use them.
I liked so many eyeliners this year, but when I sat and thought about the ones that made the biggest impression on me, it came down to the Too Faced x Kandee Johnson I Want Kandee Black Licorice liquid liner and the Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Liner. I’ve linked my reviews of each, so check them out for more info on them. I’m far from an expert at liquid liner, but the Too Faced x Kandee Johnson makes it super easy for me. The Mally Beauty pencil liners are favorites not only because of their creaminess, but because of their lasting power. They literally stay on all day long without too much moving around, unless you have itchy eyes like I do and rub your eyes often.
Mascara was a no brainer for me. My favorites this year, without question, were the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect and the Lancome Monsieur Big. Both give me the volume and length I look for in a mascara without a bunch of clumping and/or flaking. They’re totally on opposite sides of the price spectrum, but are equal in quality. If you don’t try anything in this post, I definitely recommend you try one of these mascaras out.
Those are my favorite eye-related products, y’all. Let me know in the comments below what yours were this year. My next Best of 2017 post is going to be eyeshadow palettes, followed by lip products, so stay tuned to my Instagram @theregulargirlreviews and my Twitter @theregulargirl1 to see when those go live.
Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
