Get It or Forget It?: Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette

Hello there, Beauties!! Today’s review is on a product that isn’t necessarily new to the world, but was definitely new to me.

You know how there are certain brands you look to for certain things and some you don’t? For me, Stila was a brand that I never really went to for powder shadows. While watching my friend Olivia from livloveshermakeup, she spoke so highly of this palette in a recent video that I figured I’d give it a try.

The Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette, $39, is available at Ulta and on Stila’s website. It comes in four versions based on your skintone; Fair/Light, Light/Medium, Medium/Tan and the version I picked up, Tan/Deep. In each palette, you get five eyeshadows and two blushes.

Here are the palette’s claims from the Stila website:

Easy to use eye and cheek palettes filled with neutral hues that are just perfect…for you!  Long-wearing, one swipe eye and cheek colors expertly curated to work with your skin tone to create the perfect neutral look.  Choose from four distinct palettes that house five eyeshadows and two blushes in matte, shimmer and pearl finishes; customizable to create the look or looks you want.

Benefits:

  • Curated to work with your skin tone, but each palette is wearable on all skin tones.  Choose the palette closest to your skin tone for a natural look or one level up for a more dramatic look.  The possibilities are endless!
  • Color True Pigments look exactly as you would expect on your skin.  What you won’t see?  Ashy or unnatural tones.
  • 78% pigment saturation offers incredibly vivid, long-lasting color.
  • Triple milled powders and mica allow for exceptionally smooth application – no need for a primer!

Eye Shades: Imaginative (peach), Brilliant (wheat), Adventurous (copper), Flirty (deep warm brown), Mesmerizing (black)

Blush Shades: Vibrant (deep peach), Witty (brick red)

I’m just gonna go ahead and say it. This palette actually lives up to its claims. The blushes are HELLA pigmented in the Tan/Deep version. Like, so pigmented that I had a serious blush mess the first time I used it because I went in a little too aggressively. It’s hard to find blushes that show up on my skin, so I was so happy that this one exceeded my expectations. The wear time on the blush is fantastic as well. I still had great pigmentation on my cheeks after a twelve hour day.

As for the eyeshdows, they’re just as pigmented and blendable as the blushes. You know how sometimes you get a face palette and the powders inside aren’t consistent? That’s definitely not the case with this palette. The eyeshadows are just as fantastic as the blushes. They show up well on deep skin and last all day, with or without a primer. The only shadow in the palette that I haven’t used yet is Imaginative, the peach shade that is supposed to be the base shade. I don’t have anything against it or anything, I just overlooked it if I’m being totally honest with you guys. Adventerous, the copper shimmer shade, is probably my favorite shadow in the palette. It’s just gorgeous and, just like the other shadows in the palette, doesn’t leave you with a bunch of shadow on your face from fallout.

You guys, when it comes to this palette, I definitely say GET IT. I definitely plan on picking up the Medium/Tan palette next time I’m at Ulta.

Have you guys tried any of the Perfect Me, Perfect Hue palettes? If so, did you love it? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
