Product Spotlight: Standouts of the Week

spotlight

Happy Friday, Beauties!! It’s that part of the week where we go over what products really impressed me throughout the week.

This week, I definitely had some hits and misses in the testing department. I won’t bore you with conversation about the repeats from last week that I’m still loving, or the fails from this week. With that out of the way, let’s get into what I loved this week.

On Cyber Monday, I picked up three of the Ofra Liquid Lipsticks from Ulta, as they were 50% off. I got the shades Americano (the one I’m swatching in the photo), Santa Ana (second image at the top) and Havana Nights, the shade Kathleen Lights created with Ofra a while back. You guys, these are freaking awesome. They’re super comfortable and last all day on the lips without getting weird. I love them and definitely want to pick up more. This was my first time trying out anything from Ofra, so I’m glad the experience was a good one.

I started the week with three different Stila palettes to incorporate for testing this week, and I’m glad I chose this one. This is the Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette in Tan/Deep. I enjoyed the shadows, but y’all, the blush in here is EVERYTHING!! It’s super pigmented, so you have to be careful when applying it or you’ll get the clown cheeks. I know this because I had a blush emergency being too heavy handed with it yesterday lol. I highly recommend you give one of these palettes a try. They come in four different options based on your skintone.

My skin has been super dry this week due to the cold mornings outside and this heater under my desk at work, so I needed to prime with something super hydrating. As someone with typically oily skin, I don’t have an array of hydrating primers in my collection right now. I picked up the travel size of the Smashbox Primer Water a few months ago, but hadn’t used it until this week. It’s really helped my skin not feel super dry under my other primers and base products. I need to test it a little bit longer before I can confidently recommend it or not, but so far, so good.

Those are the products that really stood out to me this week. What products were superstars for you guys this week? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
