Welcome back, Beauties! It’s that time of the month for me to tell you guys what products I couldn’t put down this month, and which ones I didn’t enjoy as much.
This month, I definitely had a few products that I couldn’t get enough of. There was only one product that didn’t really enjoy as much as I’d hoped to. I’m still testing some other products that you’ll hear about soon. Instead of doing a December Favorites post, I’ll be doing a 2017 Favorites next month, but will make sure I do a ‘Current Faves’ kind of thing mid-month if I have any standouts over the next few weeks.
Anyway, since there’s only one fail, let’s get to that one first.
In my Boxycharm this month, I received a lipstick from Laqa & Co. I wouldn’t say that this is a necessarily bad product, but I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I wanted to. The color, named Sunflower, is a shade I would typically reach for, but the lipstick was just not the kind of formula I prefer. I found that it tugs a lot when I apply it to my lips and that makes it apply a little streaky for me personally.
Now that we’ve gotten the one fail out of the way, let’s talk about things that I enjoyed this month and would recommend to you guys.
I know, guys. I know. After all of the shade I’ve thrown Too Faced for their eyeshadows and wackiness, I was convinced that I wasn’t going to like this little Matte Chocolate Chip palette. Y’all, I was super wrong for assuming. The shadows are pigmented nicely and blend out super well. They remind me of the old school Chocolate Bar formula, not the new foolery Jared and them have been giving us lately. I find myself reaching for this little palette almost every day. I’m just as shocked as you are, guys. this is definitely Regular Girl Approved if you’re looking for a cute little palette of mattes that you can throw in your makeup bag.
Another palette I’ve been reaching for nonstop this month is the Kitten palette by Winky Lux. This is another item from my Boxycharm. I’ve heard from some people that they had blending and fading issues with some of the shadows, but I didn’t experience that. Yes, they have some fallout for sure, but that was my only issue with it. I found the shadows to be pretty good. I don’t know if I would pay $25 for it as it’s currently priced, but if you can catch it on sale, I’d pick it up.
Another favorite of mine this month is the Too Faced Ethereal Setting Powder. Guys, it’s just a great powder. It sets my concealer and face without overdrying anything or making it cakey. It’s got a slight yellow tone to it, so it doesn’t make me super ashy or pale when I use it. I don’t really bake my under eye or anything, but I found that this gave me the same kind of coverage and brightening as if I did. I’m into it. It’s deifnitely Regular Girl Approved.
I have a full review coming up this week on this, but here’s a spoiler: I love the No.7 Stay Perfect Foundation. Y’all, who am I becoming that I actually am loving liquid foundations right now? I won’t go into too many details about this since I’m doing a full review of it this week. Just know that I think it’s awesome and definitely recommend it.
Alright y’all, those are the products I couldn’t get enough of this month. Let me know in the comments what you’ve been using nonstop in November.
Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
