Hello there, Beauties!! My Boxycharm for this month came in last night, so I had to share the contents with you.
For those of you that may not be familiar, Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription box. For $21 a month, you get five to six full-size makeup products from popular brands as well as brands you may not have heard of. The retail value of the box is always way more than the cost of the monthly subscription, so it’s a great way to expand your collection in a more affordable way than buying these products individually.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s take a look at what I got in my November Boxycharm.
Every month, Boxycharm has a theme for their boxes. This month’s theme is Sweater Weather. The card that comes with the box provides all of the details on each of the items, including their retail value. Here’s the list of what I got:
The CoverFX Illuminating Setting Spray is the first item in the box that caught my attention. I’m not typically a setting spray girl, but have heard so much about this one that I’m curious. It’s retail value is $31, and claims to set your makeup providing all day wear and illumination to the skin. Now that it’s cold outside, my skin is on the dry side, so I could use a little glow.
I’ve always wanted to try Luxie brushes, so I was super excited to hear that we would be getting this set in this month’s Boxycharm. The Luxie Beauty Quad Eye Travel Set retails for $32, and comes with four travel-size brushes perfect for doing your eye makeup on the go. As someone that typically ends up doing their makeup in the work bathroom, these pink and rose gold brushes are ideal for me. I didn’t see this set on their website to link to for y’all, so I think this set is a Boxycharm exclusive.
The Winky Lux Kitten Palette features nine shadows in four finishes: holographic, matte, satin, and glitter. It’s retail value is $25, and the brand is cruelty-free, which is always awesome to see. The shadows are also paraben-free, gluten-free, and made in the USA. You guys know I love a good eyeshadow, so I’m excited to give these a go.
Laqa & Co. is a brand that I’d never heard of prior to this month’s Boxycharm. When I saw it was a lipstick, you know I did a little happy dance. Their Cloud Lips lipsticks are $17, which isn’t too bad for a lipstick. There were two different colors you could get in your box, and I got the shade shown above, Sunshower. According to the card I got from Boxycharm, this is supposed to be a matte lipstick that gives full coverage without feeling heavy on the lips and stays in place.
The last item in this month’s box is the KNC Beauty Collagen Lip Mask. You get three in the box, and they are valued at $15 each, but cost $25 for a five pack at Nordstrom. These claim to hydrate, moisturize and plump the lips via natural ingredients. I already have plump lips, but will give these a try to see if they actually hydrate the lips well.
That’s everything that I got this month from Boxycharm. The total value of everything in this month’s box is a whopping $120, which is about $100 more than what I spent for it. All in all, I’m happy with what I got this month and can’t wait to try everything.
Let me know if you’ve received your Boxycharm yet and what you think of everything you got.
Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
