Hey there, beauties! Today’s Get It or Forget It will be about new and upcoming releases and whether I’m going to get them or forget them.
As the Sephora VIB Sale, Black Friday and Christmas get closer, brands are throwing out products left and right. All of the images and details are from either Trend Mood or Makeup World News via Instagram. I highly recommend both of their pages to stay on top of the new and upcoming beauty releases.
Here are a few of the ones that have caught my eye for one reason or another.
The Too Faced Clover palette has been discussed for months. It was initially said to be coming out in September, but apparently is coming out this month instead. The color story reminds me of numerous other Too Faced palettes we’ve seen, with the exception of that blue shade in the upper right corner maybe. It’ll run you $49, which is about the standard pricing for a Too Faced palette, and will be available at the beginning of this month sometime. Y’all, I’m gonna have to Forget this one. I’m just not into it.
At the beginning of next year, Too Faced will be releasing a little makeup bag to match the Clover palette. Look how cute this is! For me, cutesy imaging on a palette can turn me off, but on a makeup bag, I’m totally here for it. Go figure, right? I don’t have many details on this yet when it comes to pricing or anything, but I can tell you right now that I’m definitely going to Get It.
Urban Decay will be releasing an eyeshadow palette to go with their Troublemaker mascara. The palette will also be called Troublemaker, and will have ten shades. I don’t have many details on this one, but I’ll definitely keep you guys posted on my Instagram (@theregulargirlreviews), so make sure you’re following me there. Anywho, back to the palette. I enjoy the Urban Decay shadows, so I think I’ll probably have to Get It. It looks like there will be a good amount of mattes and shimmers, which is right up my alley.
Violet Voss, now available at Sephora, recently released their Taupe Notch palette for $45. I’ve never owned a Violet Voss palette, so I’m not too familiar with her formula. From what I’ve heard and seen online, people speak highly of the quality and performance the brand’s shadows have. I’ve looked at numerous images of this palette, and came to the same conclusion. Guys, this palette is fifty shades of brown. I get that it’s designed to be an all taupe palette, but come on. I love a brown shadow as much as the next person, but an entire brown/taupe palette just doesn’t speak to me. I’m gonna have to Forget It on this one.
Kat Von D just released her Lolita Obsession Collector’s Edition 7-Piece Set for $104 (valued at $134) on her website. It will be available online at Sephora on November 27th. In the set you get the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita and Lolita II, the Everlasting Lip Liner in OG Lolita, Lolita, and Lolita II, a Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lolita, and the Lolita Eyeshadow single. I’ve never worn Lolita in any of its formats, but the color is definitely a cult classic. I don’t know, guys. I’m on the fence about this one. Let me know in the comments below if you’re going to pick this up or not.
Stila is expanding their Magnificent Metals liquid glitter shadow line by adding the Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows to the mix. These will be available November 3rd online at Ulta (in stores January 4th), and will cost $24 each just like the glitters. I had a ton of the glitters, but ended up giving them away because I realized that I’m not a glitter girl. I do, however, love me some shimmer. Like, LOVE LOVE shimmer. The colors of these have me totally drawn in. I’m totally going to Get at least one of these.
Tarte just released the Park Avenue Princess Chisel Palette, $46, and the Tartelette Vault (online only at Ulta), $100. The Park Ave Chisel palette reminds me of the Clay Play palette, which you know I love, just without the eyeshadows. There seem to be two versions of the palette, a light and dark I’m presuming, which is always a good thing. The Tartelette Vault contains all three of the Tartelett palettes, including the new Toasted version. I love the In Bloom and have been wanting to try the Toasted, so this initially spoke to me when I first heard about it. I do own the In Bloom, but could totally give the newer one to a friend for Christmas if I decided to get the vault. I think I’m definitely going to Get the Park Ave Chisel palette and am on the fence about the Tartelette Vault.
Last time we had this conversation, I told you guys about the palettes from Colourpop that would be coming to Sephora, and that I wasn’t sure if I would be getting them or not. Well, Colourpop released two new palettes on their website last week; the Element of Surprise (top), $16, and the You Had Me At Hello, $18 palettes. The second palette is two dollars higher because it comes with a mirror, which is something new for Colourpop. In comparison to the palettes they released with Sephora, these definitely speak to me more. Not just because they’re not as expensive (don’t get me started on that foolishness), but because of the color story each one contains. You guys know how I feel about the Colourpop palettes, so it goes without saying that I will be definitely purchasing at least one of these. Colourpop will always receive a Get It from me.
Alright beauties, that does it for my Get It or Forget It today. Let me know in the comments what new and upcoming releases you’ve got your eye on.
Until next time! xoxo
