What’s up, beauties?! I’m always curious to know what people are carrying around in their backup bag, so I figured I’d share mine with you guys today.
Now, I also have an entirely separate makeup bag in my purse that just holds my lip products, so let me know if you guys would like to see a post about those.
As you can see, I carry a ton of stuff in my makeup bag every day. Since I usually end up doing my makeup when I get to work, I try to make sure I’ve got everything I need. I also carry whatever eyeshadow palette I’m using for that week in my bag as well.
The makeup bag you see is by Tartan + Twine and was purchased from Ulta. It fits all of the stuff you see in the image above with no issue. The brand makes a ton of different sizes and colors, so you’re bound to find a makeup bag you like from the brand.
Included in the pile of items from my makeup bag are the new Real Techniques Instapop brushes that I’m currently testing, as well as two of the Moda Rose round brushes I reviewed earlier this week. I’ll have my review of the Instapop brushes up for you guys next week. I want to give them a few more days of testing first. I also have under there my favorite NYX powder brush and one of the IT! Cosmetics for Ulta blush brushes that I love so much.
As far as actual makeup products I’m hauling around in my backpack every day, I’m sure you see basically all of the products I’ve been talking about with you guys lately. One item that we haven’t talked about yet that I’m currently testing is the Essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara, $4.99. You guys know how much I love the original Lash Princess mascara with the green writing on the tube (shown above), so when I saw this version, I figured I’d give it a try. The review for that is coming soon. The other eye products I’m sure I’ve talked about before; my Benefit Precisely My Brow and Goof Proof brow pencils in Shade 6 and my Urban Decay eyeliner pencil in Perversion. I have my Bare Minerals cream concealer in Dark and my Maybelline Master Camo color correcting pen in Apricot.
For the face, I’ve got my Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation and the one I will be testing next week, the Estee Lauder Double Wear in shade 61 Rich Cocoa. I’ll be using it with the primers you see above, the Murad Oli-Control Mattifier and the Becca Velvet Blurring Primer Perfecting Base. I use the Urban Decay All-Nighter setting spray to foil my brushes if necessary. Like I told you guys in the Beauty Rules I Don’t Follow post, I don’t wear setting spray. I find that it doesn’t really extend the life of my makeup and it kind of makes my pores pop back out from under my makeup.
Let me know, beauties, if you’d like to see my lipstick makeup bag and the palettes I’m carrying around in my bag as well.
Until next time, lovies!! xoxo
