In today’s This or That, we are going to discuss two of the most popular drugstore foundations for oily skin, the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless and the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation. Keep reading to see which is my favorite.
When it comes to drugstore foundations, the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless is one of the best on the market. Period. It mattifies the skin without making you look super dry and cakey. I have repurchased this at least twice, and I don’t even wear liquid foundation every day. I love that it makes and keeps me matte for most of the day and doesn’t do so by making my face feel heavy.
The Pro Matte foundation by L’Oreal is another favorite of the masses. The shade range isn’t the best with only twelve shades (the Fit Me range is much better), but it’s workable. I must admit that this isn’t one of my favorites. It leaves a slight grey cast on my skin, and just doesn’t look the best on me. Maybe the undertone of it is off in the two shades I’ve tried, I don’t know. It also tends to feel a little heavy on my skin and makes my face a little itchy.
For me, the choice is obvious. I will always choose the Maybelline over the L’Oreal. Like I always say, makeup is a super personal thing. What works for you may not work for me, and vice versa.
Which of these two foundations do you love? Let me know in the comments below.
