Product Spotlight: Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter

One of my favorite makeup products to use are highlighters, so for Drugstore Week, I had to give one of my favorites a little shout out. Read more to hear me show some love to one of my favorite Maybelline products, the Master Chrome highlighter.

The FaceStudio line is full of great products, but my absolute favorite is the Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in shade 100 Molten Gold ($9.99 at most retailers). The color alone drew me in when I first saw it online, but once I got my hands on it and swatched it, I knew I was in love.

Although it’s a powder formula, it feels almost wet to the touch when you swatch it. The formulation is similar to that of the Wet n’Wild MegaGlo highlighters, just a tiny bit more powdery to the touch than those.

The shine you get from this highlighter is comparable to many of the high end ones that I own, and can be applied lightly for a subtle glow or you can go ham if you’re looking to blind the aliens in space.

I’ve seen people of varying skin tones and types using this highlighter, so I’d say that your preferences are key here. I would most definitely recommend it to anyone that’s looking for a versatile highlight that isn’t going to emphasize your skin texture and will last all day even on the most oily of skin. They are coming out with a couple of new shades, according to the whispers on the internet, so if this one is too dark for your skin tone, I’d say grab one of the other shades when they’re released.

Have you tried the Master Chrome highlighter yet? If so, do you love it? Leave a comment below or on Instagram (@theregulargirlreviews) and let me know.
