This week’s brand is Physician’s Formula. I would love to try some of their products, but read more to see why I haven’t explored their brand yet.
Okay so, in every beauty group I belong to on the Book of Faces (aka Facebook) and all the YouTubers I watch regularly, I hear something about Physician’s Formula. The brand has been around for decades, so I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s curiosity has been sparked when you see their displays in the drugstore. As much as I want to try them out, I have one huge reason why I haven’t.
That reason is their shade range when it comes to their face products. Yes, I know they make things like eye liners and mascaras that aren’t skin tone specific, but I’m not really interested in purchasing any of that stuff. I have tried one of their eye shadow quads and I wasn’t impressed, so I never bought another. I do, however, want to try their Butter Bronzer (shown above), but can’t because it only comes in pale and slightly less pale. I’ve heard so many positive things about this product in particular that I want to try it super badly, but I know it will never show up on my skin in it’s current shade range. It’s so disappointing that, while so many other drugstore brands are expanding their shade ranges to accommodate women and men of color such as myself, but Physician’s Formula just won’t get with the program. It’s beyond frustrating to see brands so unwilling to create products for ALL makeup lovers, not just ones on the lighter end of the spectrum.
