Influenster recently sent me a box full of goodies for review, so here’s my roundup of the products I used.

If you’re unfamiliar, Influenster is a service for product reviewers. They send you a box every so often filled with full size and sample sizes of products for free, in exchange for your honest review. You just go to their website , enter in your social media and blog information, and they handle the rest. Then, when you receive your VoxBox, you test the products out and then post your reviews on your social media pages and in the Influenster App (available via your phone’s app store). It’s that simple.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into my review of the products from the Shimmer VoxBox!

DISCLAIMER: All products discussed in this post were sent to me by Influenster for free in exchange for my honest review.

In the Shimmer VoxBox, I received a great array of products from haircare to perfume. Not pictured are the Sour Punch Straws that I devoured as soon as I opened the box and some press-on nails that I didn’t wear since I already have acrylic nails. I’ll likely give them to my niece and report back if she liked them.

Nyakio Red Ginseng Line Smoothing Eye & Lip Cream, $20. Available at Ulta.

The Nyakio Red Ginseng Eye and Lip Cream is a pretty nice eye cream. I didn’t use it on my lips since I have lip balms in my collection that I’m pretty much addicted to. As an eye cream, this worked really well for me. It hydrated my under eye without being too greasy or heavy. It absorbed into my dry under eye pretty well, and I didn’t notice it disturbing my concealer or powder products. I would definitely consider buying the full size of this eye cream once I’m finished with the ones I’m working through currently.

Vera Wang Embrace in Rose Buds and Vanilla and Marigold and Gardenia, about $30 (depending on where you purchase). Available at most drugstores and Walmart.

Out of all of the things in this VoxBox, these fragrances were my least favorite item. Not because they’re bad perfumes or anything like that. They just aren’t my preference. I tend to gravitate to more rich and warm fragrances, like YSL’s Black Opium. These are much lighter fragrances than Black Opium. If you are into light, floral scents, you may totally like these. As I said, they just aren’t my vibe, but aren’t bad products.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask, $9 for the mini, $36 for the full size. Available at Sephora.

The only thing more dry than my under eye area is my hair. My hair isn’t necessarily super damaged or anything, but, my God, it’s dry as the desert. With that in mind, I have difficulty finding hair masks that will hydrate my hair without weighing it down. Since I chemically relax my hair, hydration is so necessary to keep my hair healthy and strong. The Don’t Despair, Repair! hair mask gives me what I’m looking for in a conditioner. My hair is left feeling super soft and shiny after use, and I do notice my hair doesn’t feel like straw by the time wash day comes along (I wash my hair once a week). Now, while I would definitely recommend this to you guys, because it’s awesome, I’m on the hunt for a more affordable alternative, so I’ll let you know when I find one.

Well, folks, that’s my review of the Influenster Shimmer VoxBox. Have any of you tried out these products? I’d love to hear your thoughts on them if you have.
