My Favorite Things: Makeup Brushes

Every makeup lover has those certain items that, no matter how many they already have in their collection, they are compelled to purchase more and more when they are in their favorite places to shop. For me, one of those things are makeup brushes. Keep reading to see some of my holy grail, can’t live without brushes.

The Real Techniques Powder Brush, $10

One of the first powder brushes I ever purchased, this brush has a special place in my heart. It’s dense enough to pick up just the right amount of pressed or loose powder, but fluffy enough to where is disperses the product nicely on the face. I think I have three of these in my collection currently, because I always have to have one ready to go.

The It Cosmetics for Ulta Airbrush Soft Focus Blush Brush, $24 & Love Beauty Fully Flawless Blush Brush, $28

Soft Focus Blush Brush

Love Beauty Fully Blush Brush

These two blush brushes are newer to my collection, but I swear they have revived my love for blush. They both apply and blend blush so effortlessly. I’ve got tons of other blush brushes, but these two have continually stood out as the stars use after use.

The Moda Pro Pointed Blush Brush, Price unavailable

I received this brush in my Boxycharm subscription box last month, and fell in love. I tried it as a blush brush, and enjoyed it, but I REALLY love it for setting my under eye concealer. The shape allows it to fit perfectly underneath my eye and it’s a little more loosely packed, so it’s not plopping thick layers of powder under there. These don’t come out until next year, unfortunately, but I definitely recommend you pick it up when they’re released. Best part about the Moda brushes is that they’re available at Walmart, so you know they’re reasonably priced.

I just love these. I don’t know how else to say it. The brushes are just freaking awesome. The blending and fluffy crease brushes are soft, but get the job done. The base shadow brush is just the right balance of density and fluffiness. You need these. Period. I have also purchased the eye brushes in this set separately as well. That’s how much I love them.

The Pur Cosmetics Skin Perfecting Concealer Brush, $22

Listen. I know. Don’t even say it. I promise you, though, this concealer brush is worth every bit of the $22 price tag. It’s dense like a foundation brush, so it really gets in there and spreads your concealer without making it cakey. Y’all know how I feel about caked up under eyes. Now, I still have other concealer brushes I use and quite like, but this brush is something special. Yes, it’s similar in shape to those Artis brushes that dominated the internet last year. I never bought those, so I can’t compare them. All I know is that this Pur brush is where it’s at for me.

I definitely will continue to share a few of my favorite things with you guys as time goes on. In the meantime, drop me a comment here or on Instagram (@theregualrgirlreviews) and let me know what some of your holy grail makeup brushes are.
